I attended the Joe Hisaishi Fever Candlelight Concert and had an incredible experience! I knew it would be enjoyable, but I was completely blown away.
The intimate candlelit setting created a mesmerizing atmosphere that perfectly complemented Hisaishi’s captivating compositions. As the strings filled the room, I immersed myself completely in the music, reliving cherished moments from beloved films like “Spirited Away” and “Princess Mononoke.”

Captivating Melodies of Joe Hisaishi
Joe Hisaishi’s musical genius shines brightly in this enchanting Candlelight concert. I was mesmerized by the seamless blend of visual and auditory elements that transported me into his magical world of sound.
As I stepped into the dome-shaped venue, I was struck by the warm glow of countless candles. The flickering flames created an intimate atmosphere that perfectly complemented Hisaishi’s emotive compositions.
The Seattle Quartet’s performance was nothing short of breathtaking. Their rendition of “When I Remember This Life” from The Tale of Princess Kaguya brought tears to my eyes!
Their performance of “Merry Go Round of Life” from Howl’s Moving Castle also stood out.

As I settled into my seat, I couldn’t help but feel the buzz of anticipation around me. The crowd was a mix of devoted Hisaishi fans and curious newcomers, all eager for the show to begin. When the first notes rang out, I saw eyes light up and smiles spread across faces.
Throughout the performance, I noticed people swaying gently to the music, completely lost in the moment. During familiar melodies from Studio Ghibli films, I heard soft gasps of recognition and saw hands clasped over hearts.
The applause between pieces was thunderous, with standing ovations. I even spotted a few teary-eyed attendees, overcome by the beauty of the music. I was one of them!

The dome-shaped room in the Arctic Club Hotel was the perfect setting for this enchanting concert. As I walked in, I stood in awe at the magnificent stained-glass ceiling. The warm glow of countless candles reflected off the intricate patterns, casting a dreamlike atmosphere.
The room’s vintage charm transported me to another era. Ornate architectural details, from elegant moldings to grand columns, caught my eye at every turn. The space felt intimate, with a close connection between the musicians and the audience.
Soft lighting accentuated the room’s features, creating a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance. The acoustics were superb, allowing every note to ring clear and true. I couldn’t imagine a more fitting backdrop for Hisaishi’s timeless compositions.
