Some cities in the United States, such as New York, Chicago, and San Francisco, have been fortunate enough to have Michelin-starred establishments. However, Seattle has not yet joined this elite group.

What impresses me about Altura is how smart and enjoyable its dishes are. Far too often, I’ve gone to high-end restaurants serving ‘interesting’ tasting dishes that don’t hit the spot. That is not the case here! If you want food that tastes like it was made by someone who loves to eat, check Altura out.

Canlis

Canlis is a Seattle institution, founded in 1950, and has garnered a reputation for its fine dining and stunning views of Lake Union and the city skyline. This noteworthy restaurant is situated in the Queen Anne neighborhood and offers a variety of gourmet dishes that have earned them local and national acclaim.

Unfortunately, there have been many reports of food quality inconsistencies at this restaurant. However, on a good day, guests more often than not agree this establishment to be Michelin-worthy.

Spinasse

Spinasse, located in Capitol Hill, is known for its regional Italian cuisine, specifically from the Piedmont area. The restaurant has gained popularity for its excellent handmade pasta dishes and an impressive menu featuring seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients.

  1. I think it’s important to note that the city of Seattle/its tourism board would need to pay Michelin for Seattle restaurants to be considered in the guide. Just because there aren’t any yet, it doesn’t mean
